File handling
STEP, IGES, DWG, and PDF files you upload go to the quoting engineer and the production team on your job. No one else inside EPOC CRAFTER has access. Files are not shared with subcontractors without your written approval.

Access control
Project files sit behind role-based permissions. The quoting engineer, the assigned machinist, and QC on your job can access them. Sales staff cannot. Management cannot unless your job requires escalation.

Production environment
CNC machining, EDM, and finishing are done in-house at our Shenzhen facility. We do not send drawings to outside shops without your knowledge. If a secondary process requires a vetted supplier, we disclose it before proceeding. See surface finishing options.

📜 NDA process
You do not have to upload files to start. Send a general inquiry, we send the NDA, you countersign, then files move. The whole exchange takes under 24 hours. If you have your own template, send it over — we review and sign client agreements too.
Frequently asked questions
Can I upload files before signing an NDA?
You can, but for sensitive designs we recommend against it. Send an inquiry through the contact page first. We return a signed NDA within one business day, then file exchange starts. No pressure to upload anything before that.
Who inside EPOC CRAFTER sees my drawings?
The quoting engineer and the production team assigned to your order. Your files do not circulate to sales, accounting, or anyone else. See how we handle the quoting process on the CNC machining and instant quote pages.
Will you photograph or display my parts?
No, without written permission. Parts shown on our service pages are either in-house test pieces or shared with explicit client approval. We do not use client parts for marketing.
Are you certified for medical device components?
Yes. EPOC CRAFTER holds ISO 13485:2016 (GB/T 42061-2022), the medical device quality management standard, for processing hardware and plastic components for medical equipment — alongside our ISO 9001:2015 certification. Both certificates are current and downloadable on our quality & certifications page.
How long do you keep files after an order?
Up to 12 months for reorder convenience. You can request deletion at any time by emailing your project manager. Deletion completes within 5 business days and we confirm in writing.
Do you work with ITAR-controlled designs?
EPOC CRAFTER is a China-based manufacturer and is not ITAR-registered. If your parts fall under ITAR or EAR export controls, confirm classification with your compliance team before sharing files. For material specifications relevant to export-controlled parts, see our materials pages.
What finishing processes involve outside suppliers?
Anodizing, plating, and some coating processes may go to a vetted finishing supplier. We disclose this before your order is confirmed. Your drawings are shared only with that specific supplier, and only after you approve. See the full list of surface finishing options.
